Zooomr online…yes, I’m late on this

July 20th, 2006

Zooomr is back online and so am I after some away on vacation. The good news is that I’ll have some vacation photos to test out with zooomr now. Most of the shots I grabbed were with the Canon S3 which seemed to due fairly well as an All In One ultra zoom.

Zooomr…later rather than soonr

July 15th, 2006

Well is appears that Zooomr has encountered some bumps in the road in travelling to their 2.0 upgrade. It sucks that it appears that most of their problems (at least as they report them) appear to be DoS attacks. If it is truly Dos related, who initiated the attacks? I find it […]

BlueHosting…like the service and message so far.

July 13th, 2006

Well I now have all most major hosting a bluehosting.com. I can’t say I miss hostreflex.com at all at this point. Granted it has only been about a week and who knows if the future holds a 3-4 day outage like I would sometimes get with hostreflex (and no replies to my tech […]

Change to hosted videos

July 9th, 2006

I’m trying an experiment to move away from the old way vidoes were accessed. I don’t know if the new way will be any better, worse, or a push. It should be notification of new videos easier if people (a) visit the site and/or (b)subscribe to the rss feed to be notified of […]

Under Construction

July 8th, 2006

Blog and forum sections are still under transition. I’m trying to figure out how much I want them integrated with the main website. Write now, I think that I like the separation, but it means more maintenance.
So far it looks like I’ll be using drupal Wordpress and SMF

Hosting moved

July 4th, 2006

I finally got it done (on vacation of all things) and have moved from hostreflex.com to bluehost.com. Over the past couple of years hostreflex had just become a little too unreliable for me. We’ll see how Bluehost does over the long term. So far setup has been smooth, and site migration has […]
