I got my WD RE2 500 GB hard drive today and restored my original S3 image to it using
bzip2 -dc < hdtivo_img.bz2 > /dev/sdb
I then expanded the drive using
mfstools add -x /dev/sdb
This was all down under opensuse 10.1
The stock S3 drive reported 32HD/303SD hours.
The 500GB upgrade reports 65HD/610SD hours.
